This was a collaborative effort between Lawrence Livermore National Security, LLC as manager and operator of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and Intralytix Inc., to study biofilms formed on the surfaces of polymers by especially dangerous pathogens and nosocomial infections, to explore the possibility of decontamination of surfaces using different classes of disinfectants and specific bacteriophages.
