Rapidity Dependence of the Single Inclusive Jet Cross-Section in $$p\bar{p}$$ Collisions at the Center-of-Mass Energy of 18-TeV with the D0 Detector
- Arizona U.
We have made a precise measurement of the rapidity dependence of inclusive single jet production cross section $$d^2\sigma/(dE_T d\eta)$$ in $$p\overline{p}$$ collisions at $$\sqrt{s}$$ = 1.8 TeV. The measurement is based on integrated luminosity of 92 $$pb^{-1}$$ data collected by the D0 detector at the Tevatron Collider, Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The cross sections are reported as a function of jet transverse energy in five pseudorapidity $$(\eta)$$ intervals up to $$\eta$$ = 3:0. The experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions from next-to-leading order perturbative quantum chromodynamics.
