Multi-Frequency Cross-Borehole Electromagnetic (EM) Imaging System: Final Report CRADA No. TC-0361-92
- Lawrence Livermore National Lab. (LLNL), Livermore, CA (United States)
- Schlumberger-Doll Research, Ridgefield, CT (United States)
The purpose of this CRADA was to develop a multi-frequency cross-borehole EM system for underground imaging application. This jointly developed system was used in oil field characterization and process monitoring (i.e., enhanced oil recovery operations). It may also be applied to environmental clean-up problems. The project involved system design, the construction of prototype hardware, the conducting of field experiments, and the application of tomographic imaging to interpret these data.
