When selecting an automatic well test system, Cities Service Co. realized it must meet the requirements defined by engineers and production personnel to document their present requirements and needs for future expansion. The concept of the system should be flexible enough to allow its implementation at any Cities Service production facility. The primary function of the Cities Service South Welch system was for automatic well test and CO/sub 2/ injection plant monitoring. The ability to implement features such as pump-off control, dynamometer cards, submersible pump control, waterflood plant control, and transmission of data to head office must be inherent in the system.
