Abstract

A measurement of the production processes of the recently discovered Higgs boson is performed in the two-photon final state using 5.4 fb-1 of proton-proton collisions data at sqrt(s)=7 TeV and 20.3 fb-1 at sqrt(s)=8 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider.

CERN-LHC. Measurements of the production cross sections for Upsilon 1S, 2S and 3S mesons in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The data sample used has an integrated luminosity of 1.8 fb-1 collected between March and August 2011. The data cover the Upsilon |y| region 0-2.25 and PT < 70 GeV/c. The data are given assuming unpolarized Upsilon production. Acceptance weights are also given in the link below for the effects of different polarization scenarios.

The final ATLAS Run 1 measurements of Higgs boson production and couplings in the decay channel H→ZZ*→ℓ⁺ℓ⁻ℓ'⁺ℓ'⁻, where ℓ, ℓ'=e or μ, are presented. These measurements were performed using pp collision data corresponding to integrated luminosities of 4.5 and 20.3 fb^–1 at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, respectively, recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The H→ZZ*→4ℓ signal is observed with a significance of 8.1 standard deviations, with an expectation of 6.2 standard deviations, at mH=125.36 GeV, the combined ATLAS measurement of the Higgs boson mass from the H→γγ and H→ZZ*→4ℓ channels. Measurements of the longitudinal relative momentum distributions of charged particles and their transverse profiles in jets of PT in the range 25-500 GeV produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Study of high-mass lepton pairs (electron-positrons or muon-antimuons) produced in proton-proton collisions at a centre of mass energy of 7 TeV using data samples with integrated luminsoity of 4.9 fb-1 in the electron channel and 5.0 fb-1 in the muon channel. The results are interpreted in the search for the heavy boson resonances: heavy neutral Zprime gauge bosons, Randall-Sundrum gravitons, Z* bosons, techni-mesons, Kaluza-Klein Z/gamma bosons and bosons predicted by Torsion models.
