Abstract

ZrO is Zincblende, Sphalerite structured and crystallizes in the cubic F-43m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zr2+ is bonded to four equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing ZrO4 tetrahedra. All Zr–O bond lengths are 2.18 Å. O2- is bonded to four equivalent Zr2+ atoms to form corner-sharing OZr4 tetrahedra.
