Absorption and distribution of strontium 90 and cesium 137 in wheat taken from a contaminated soil

In order to study the sorption of /sup 90/Sr and /sup 137/Cs by wheat at different stages of growth, some seeds have been sown in little cases filled with earth materials containing various quantities of Ca and K. At different stages of growth, the earth materials containing various quantities of Ca have been contaminated with /sup 90/Sr, the earth materials containing different quantities of K have been contaminated with /sup 137/Cs. At the same time plant samples were taken at different stages of their growth, and their radioactivity was measured.
