A Compton polarimeter for CEBAF Hall A

Designed of the CEBAF Compton Polarimeter which will be used in the CEBAF Hall A is described. Some of the Hall A experiments will use the 4 GeV polarized electron beam. Beam polarization and monitoring with an accuracy close to Delta P/P4 for beam currents ranging from 100 nA to 100 {micro}A. The Compton Polarimeter is designed to meet these requirements.
