This paper deals with the diagnosis of voltage collapse situations, following large disturbances and/or load increases. A method is proposed to identify the set of buses where load restoration is responsible for the collapse and to determine the corresponding corrective actions. It has been implemented in a fast voltage stability simulator, using sensitivity techniques. Tap changer blocking and load shedding are illustrated on a real-life 410-bus system.
