Nuclear structure data pertaining to {sup 170}Ta have been compiled and evaluated, and incorporated into the ENSDF data file. This evaluation of {sup 170}Ta supersedes the previous publications and includes literature available by 7 April 1998. The newly incorporated references are: 97MeZZ ({sup 170}W {epsilon} decay); 97Zh17 and 98Zh08 (a new (HI,xn{gamma}) study). One collective band, previously assigned to {sup 170}Ta, has now been reassigned to {sup 170}Hf.
