For studying the mutual influence of ligands in pseudooctahedral oxo peroxo complexes of vanadium(V), three compounds are synthesized: PPh{sub 4}[VO(O{sub 2})Pic{sub 2}]{center_dot}2.5H{sub 2}O (I), [VO(O{sub 2})PicPhen]{center_dot}0.5CH{sub 2}Cl{sub 2} (II), and [VO(O{sub 2})Phen(H{sub 2}O){sub 2}]Cl{center_dot}0.38H{sub 2}O (III). Comparison of complexes I - III with other investigated oxo monoperoxo compounds of vanadium(V) with bidentate ligands serves as an example for discussing the specific features of the position of the latter in the inner sphere of complexes of this type.
