Synthesis, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray characterization of three vanadium(V) oxo peroxo complexes (PPh{sub 4})[VO(O{sub 2})Pic{sub 2}]{center_dot}2.5H{sub 2}O (I), [VO(O{sub 2})PicPhen]{center_dot}0.5CH{sub 2}Cl{sub 2} (II), and [VO(O{sub 2})Phen(H{sub 2}O){sub 2}]Cl{center_dot}0.38H{sub 2}O (III) were carried out. The results obtained for I - III are compared with the literature on pseudooctahedral vanadium(V) oxo monoperoxo complexes. The difficulty of choosing the geometric isomer and the structural manifestations of peroxo ligand`s trans influence are also discussed.
