This report is part of a series of studies dealing with general public behavior and attitudes. Specifically, this study concerns seriousness of the energy shortage, methods of solving the energy problem, inflation and increased prices, unemployment, and the rebate plan; the role of rebates to encourage installation of storm windows and insulation; attitudes toward gasoline use and gas taxes, including concern with automobile gas mileage; appliance purchases, including the price of appliances and the electricity they consume; and public attitudes toward returnable bottles and cans.
