Single nucleon transfer reactions induced by /sup 19/F on /sup 24/Mg. [92 MeV]

Angular distributions for single nucleon transfer reactions induced by /sup 19/F on /sup 24/Mg have been measured at 92 MeV incident energy. The experimental results are reproduced by distorted-wave Born-approximation calculations including recoil. These reactions, where the transferred nucleon is initially bound in an s state, do not show a selective population of j/sub greater-than/ with respect to j/sub less-than/ states in agreement with predictions based on the distorted-wave Born-approximation formalism.
