Recoil Effects in Single-Nucleon—Transfer Heavy-Ion Reactions

The effect of recoil in single-nucleon-transfer heavy-ion reactions is found to be twofold: Extra transfer angular momenta are introduced and the radial integrals are changed. Comparison of an exact recoil distorted-wave Born- approximation program with experimental data from heavy-ion reactions induced on / sup 11/B and /sup 12/C gives excellent quantitative agreement. Recoil effects on other targets and energies are considered. (auth)
