gamma. -radiolysis of ribonuclease in association with DNA
Journal Article

· Radiat. Res.; (United States)
The activity of ribonuclease was protected against radiolytic destruction when the enzyme was associated with DNA, under conditions such that the nucleic acid was not acting as a scavenger; D/sub 37/'s were raised four- to sixfold. The relation between losses of enzymatic activity and of amino acid residues suggests that both his and tyr are involved in the catalytic ability of ribonuclease.
