Contribution to the theory of propagation of discontinuities in the solar wind

The macroscopic behavior of a collisionless plasma in a sufficiently strong magnetic field can be described under certain conditions by the Chew--Goldberg--Low system of equations of anisotropic magnetohydrodynamics (CGL approximation). The character of propagation of plane waves of low amplitude in the solar-wind plasma, using the CGL approximation to describe it, is investigated.
