Alaskan oil: alternative routes and markets

Book ·
OSTI ID:7354138
This study of the problem of transporting Alaskan oil to the United States concludes that a Canadian pipeline to the Great Lakes is preferable to the proposed Alaskan pipeline-tanker route to the West Coast. The Trans-Alaska Pipeline is compared to alternative Canadian routes on the basis of economic benefits and costs, environmental impact, profits, and potential markets. There is an imperative need to study alternative routes further before making a final decision. (MPG)
