Impact of a Stacking Ring on p Anti p Collisions in ISABELLE
Some thoughts on p anti p collisions in ISABELLE are presented. The proposed option using 200 GeV protons is reconsidered. It is contrasted with a new scheme which makes use of a stacking and accelerating ring (SAR). It is demonstrated that the two methods are competitive, with the scheme using the SAR providing somewhat greater performance potential.
