Upper limits to the line-of-sight component of the magnetic field strengths in two clouds associated with the expanding hydrogen shell of HB 21 and in the molecular cloud around W44 are 7 and 21 microgauss. A magnetic field of at least 6 microgauss was measured in the 32 km s/sup -1/ H I emission or absorption in the direction of W44.
