The Seattle City Council by Resolution 24283 adopted goals and objectives for the year 2000 including: reaching a steady level of per capita energy consumption, using energy efficiency in providing for Seattle's demands, and formulating an energy policy for the city. The nine resolutions adopted concerning energy conservation and the schedule set forth to implement the policy are established. Resolution 25257 is also presented in which the City of Seattle intends to adopt the ASHRAE Standard 90-75 entitled ''Energy Conservation in New Building Design'' to be effective January 1, 1978.
