Reducing energy costs with variable air volume HVAC systems: retrofitting constant volume systems

Journal Article · · Plant Eng. (Barrington, Ill.); (United States)
OSTI ID:7328816

Variable air volume (VAV) heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems use 15 to 20% less energy than constant-volume reheat, double-duct, or multizone installations. Procedures for converting constant-volume systems to VAV are discussed. (LCL)
