Electrofission of /sup 206/Pb, /sup 207/Pb, and /sup 208/Pb

Electrofission yield curves for incident electron energies of 28--44 MeV were measured for the lead isotopes /sup 206/Pb, /sup 207/Pb, and /sup 208/Pb, with aluminized polycarbonate track damage detectors. The fission barrier energies and the level densities at the fission saddle point were deduced from the yield curves. An anomalous sharp resonance-like feature was discovered at 35 MeV in the /sup 206/Pb yield.
