H/sub 2/ and product balances: stall 54a

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7307661
Six tables of data are presented. A production balance for stall 54a is given for December 1941, and January 1942. The January data showed 264 hours of operation, a loading of .477 tons/hr/m/sup 3/ of injection (52.9A/47.1B-product), a new input (A-product) loading of .252 tons/hr/m/sup 3/, 6.98 tons/hr in catchpot, production of .177 tons/hr/m/sup 3/ of gasoline (VT-706), a production factor (gasoline + gasification + salts:gasoline) of 1.27, .0750 tons H/sub 2//ton gasoline used, and .0277 tons H/sub 2//ton of injection. Data on the gases, reaction water, and catchpot are given for 1027.7 kg of injection. An H/sub 2/ balance is given for data taken on November 24, 1941. The data includes: catalyst K429 was used; 12.36 tons/hr injection (A to B product was 48:52); density of inlet gas was .191; 11.62 tons/hr in catchpot; 4.79 tons/hr gasoline; stall pressure of 595 atm; and converter was 26 MV (482/sup 0/ ). Other information given for various products and reactants such as fresh gas are flow in m/sup 3/, tons, percent H/sub 2/ by volume, flow of pure hydrogen, percent of pure hydrogen, and hydrogen consumption data. An H/sub 2/ balance of the oil products is also given for injection of 296.4 tons with 8.92% H/sub 2/ (26.43 tons H/sub 2/), 114.9 tons gasoline with 11.76% H/sub 2/ (13.52 tons H/sub 2/), and 164 tons middle oil with 9.55% H/sub 2/ (15.66 tons H/sub 2/). Total hydrogen addition was 2.75 tons. A table on gasification of C is also given.
