Widths of the 7. 06 and 7. 08 MeV dipole transitions in /sup 208/Pb

The widths of the 7.06 and 7.08 MeV states in /sup 208/Pb were determined in a resonance fluorescence experiment to be GAMMA/sub 0/ = 29 +- 3 and 16 +- 3 eV, respectively. The /sup 19/F(p,..cap alpha gamma..)/sup 16/O reaction was used to produce the incident ..gamma.. rays.
