Final state interactions in three-meson systems: Analysis of data on [ital [bar p]p][r arrow][pi][sup 0][pi][sup 0][pi][sup 0] and [eta][eta][pi][sup 0] at rest

We provide a theoretical and computational formalism for the study of three-body annihilation of [ital p[bar p]]. It includes (i) an analysis of three-body equations with the purpose of extracting the leading singularities and (ii) an analysis of low-energy [pi][pi], [ital K[bar K]], [eta][eta], and [pi][eta] amplitudes and the reconstruction of them from available experimental data. Based on this formalism, we perform an analysis of data on [ital p[bar p]][r arrow][pi][sup 0][pi][sup 0][pi][sup 0] and [eta][eta][pi][sup 0] at rest. The data are fitted well by pure [sup 1][ital S][sub 0] annihilation and require two [ital I]=0,[ital J][sup [ital P][ital C]]=0[sup ++] resonances with [ital M][sub 1]=1335[plus minus]40 MeV, [Gamma][sub 1]=255[sub [minus]40][sup +60] MeV, and [ital M][sub 2]=1505[plus minus]20 MeV, [Gamma][sub 2]=150[plus minus]20 MeV. The latter explains features of the data previously interpreted in an alternative way as due to [ital A][sub [ital X]](1515) with [ital J][sup [ital P][ital C]]=2[sup ++]. As a second step, we evaluate the magnitude of the amplitudes due to triangle singularities which result from rescatterings of outgoing mesons. Taking into account these rescattering processes enhances the magnitudes of low-lying resonances, notably [ital f][sub 0](975).
