Review of the osmotic coefficients of aqueous H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ at 25/sup 0/C

Among the most widely used isopiestic standards for aqueous solutions are NaCl, KCl, CaCl/sub 2/, and H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/. The purpose of this paper is to reexamine and update the osmotic coefficient data for H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ at 25/sup 0/C. A semiempirical equation is given which represents the osmotic coefficients of this electrolyte to within the experimental error of the data from 0.1 to 27.7 m.
