Isopiestic determination of the osmotic coefficients of aqueous CaCl/sub 2/ solutions at 25/sup 0/C

The isopiestic molalities of CaCl/sub 2/ and H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ solutions have been determined at 25/sup 0/C for CaCl/sub 2/ concentrations between 2.6 and 8.8 mole kg/sup -1/. The osmotic coefficients of the CaCl/sub 2/ solutions were calculated using available osmotic coefficients for H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/. These results can be combined with other published data to give accurate osmotic and activity coefficients for CaCl/sub 2/ solutions.
