Rain Calcining Limited (RCL) is interested in setting up a 100% export oriented unit to manufacture calcined petroleum coke. The Calcining Unit with an installed capacity of 250,000 tonnes per annum will be established in technical collaboration with Calciner Industries Inc., USA. This plant will also have a cogeneration facility, which will use the high pressure steam evolved during the calcination of petroleum coke, to generate 25 M.W. of power. The U.S. Trade and Development Program (TDP) sponsored a detailed feasibility study, which includes the study on dry bulk shipping.
