Rain Calcining Limited (RCL) is interested in setting up a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) to manufacture Calcinated Petroleum Coke (CPC). The plant will also have a cogeneration facility, which will use the high pressure steam evolved during the calcination of petroleum coke, to generate 25 M.W. of power. A detailed feasibility study includes the study on dry bulk shipping. The report examines the prospects for a shipping venture which would: Serve the transportation needs of RCL, and Gain advantages from the buoyant world shipping market in general and Indian shipping scenario in particular. It is presented in three parts: Preface; World Shipping; and Indian Shipping.
