The preoperative diagnosis of bleeding Meckel's diverticulum in a child was confirmed by scanning with 99m Technetium Pertechnetate. At surgery, ileal ulceration was observed adjacent to the diverticulum which revealed a small nodule of pancreatic tissue as well as parietal acid-secreting cells. The technique of sequential scanning is described and its advantages over static scanning emphasized.
