This article addresses the evaluation of power projects for the purpose of determining their marketability. The topics of the article include deciding to sell, reasons to buy, appraising a project, determining worth of the project assets as well as the operating project itself, and negotiating the deal. With a comprehensive understanding of a project's worth, and strict attention to the details of a sales agreement, ownership of operating independent energy facilities can be transferred with maximum benefit for both buyer and seller.
