Final report on survey of the applications of solar thermal energy systems to industrial process heat. Volume 3. Solar thermal energy systems analysis and preliminary assessment of related nontechnical issues

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7225344
The final report of work performed to survey the applications of solar thermal energy systems to industrial process heat is presented in three volumes. Volume 1 contains a summary of the methodology and results of the entire project. The detailed findings of the process heat survey are presented in Volume 2. This volume, Volume 3, consists of two major sections. The first section contains the details and results of the analysis of the expected performance of solar thermal energy systems designed to supply industrial process heat. The results of a preliminary assessment of nontechnical issues related to the use of solar energy for process heat, i.e., economic, institutional, legal, and environmental, comprise the second major section of this volume.
