Computation and graphics in mathematical research

We are actively developing and using interactive graphics software and numerical computation to study problems in global differential geometry and calculus of variations, the structure and motion of interfaces, and the simulation of plasma equilibrium and evolution. We have improved the hardware, software and design of our video animation facility and have begun to document our graphics software packages. 39 refs.
