Conference ·
OSTI ID:7215954

Secondary and tertiary recoveries recovered 100 percent OOIP using Berea cores and sand packs, two types of crude oil floods, and oil-external micellar solutions with varying compositions. The micellar solutions contained Shell regular sodium sulfonate, distilled water, isopropyl alcohol, kerosene, and sodium chloride. Oil floods of the cores and packs were a 17.5 cp crude (25.354/sup 0/ API) and a 29.2 cp crude (24.2/sup 0/ API) at 72/sup 0/F.
