The mobilities of the soluble oil slug and the mobility buffer were adjusted until they were less than that of the minimum total relative mobility of the displaced fluids. The compositions of the soluble oil (petroleum sulfonate, isopropanol, crude column overhead hydrocarbons, water) and the mobility buffer (Dow Pusher, water) were based on laboratory flooding results. The reservoir core samples were saturated with actual reservoir fluids.
