A study of livestock conditions in the smoke zone of the Selby smelter between Vallejo and Benicia, California, during the period October 1913 through July 1914 is reported. The principal injuries found were hemiplegia or diplegia laryngis in horses. These injuries were probably from lead particulates from the smelter.
