Resonant Raman scattering near excitonic transitions

Conference ·
The cases of Cu/sub 2/O and MnF/sub 2/ are used to illustrate the principles and usefulness of the resonant Raman technique. It is shown that the resonant Raman results can give not only a better understanding of the phonon (magnon) structure but also more details about the excitonic structure and the coupling between excitons (or electrons and holes) and phonons (magnons).
