The model of Owen and Scalapino (1972) for a nonequilibrium state of a superconductor is used to study the thermal conductivity due to the interaction of electron excitations with lattice imperfections. When the number of excess quasiparticles is much smaller than their equilibrium number, the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity is shown to be considerably different from that appropriate to an equilibrium superconductor.
