This paper reports that Enserch Exploration Partners Ltd., Dallas, plans to use a floating production system (FPS) to develop four deepwater tracts in the Gulf of Mexico's Garden Banks area. Enserch expects to drill at least eight development wells from a subsea template in the Garden Banks Block 388 Unit after the FPS is placed in service and as many as four existing directional wells have been completed and placed on stream. Production of about 5,000 b/d of oil and 5 MMcfd of gas is to begin by late 1995 from one completion. Peak production is expected by 1999. The plan described in Enserch's Garden Banks 388 Unit development document filed with the Minerals Management Service includes the FPS, a 24 slot subsea template, satellite wells, gathering pipeline, intrafield flow line, and a platform in shallow water where oil and gas will be separated and processed before sale.
