Triply-differential cross sections and analyzing powers for the /sup 2/H(p vector,pn)/sup 1/H and /sup 16/O(p vector, pn)/sup 15/O reactions were measured at several coplanar angle pairs with a 200 MeC polarized proton beam. Neutron separation-energy resolutions vary between 3-4 MeV for both targets. The data for both reactions were analyzed in the framework of the impulse approximation. The cross-section data for both reactions are in good agreement with the impulse-approximation calculations, and extracted spectroscopic factors are reasonable. The deuterium analyzing powers at small momentum transfers are in good agreement with plane-wave impulse approximation calculations. However, the oxygen analyzing powers are not at all in agreement with distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations. The /sup 39/K(p,n)/sup 39/Ca and /sup 15/N(p,n)/sup 15/O reactions were studied at 135 MeV. Energy resolution of approx.235 keV and approx.260 keV were obtained for the /sup 39/K and /sup 15/N targets, respectively. The cross sections for both reactions were compared with distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations. The neutron hole-state spectroscopy of the /sup 39/Ca and /sup 15/O residual nuclei were examined. Some discrepancies are found in the comparison between states were identified in this experiment and states reported in literature for the /sup 39/Ca residual nucleus.
