Specific heat and critical field of LuNi[sub 2]B[sub 2]C

This recently discovered superconductor is found to have a relatively low density of states with evidence for strong coupling. The critical field slope at [ital T][sub [ital c]] is [minus]0.5 T/K, consistent with the low specific heat [gamma] of 11[plus minus]2 mJ/mol K[sup 2].
