Relativistic analysis of the motion of a charged particle in a rotating magnetic field

The relativistic problem of acceleration of an electron and an electron beam that undergoes accelerated motion along the symmetry axis by an axially symmetrical magnetic field was previously considered. This electron-acceleration mechanism has served as the basis for the theoretical design of the accelerator called the linear betatron. A method is proposed of capture and acceleration of electrons by a rotating magnetic field of special configuration. It is shown that the motion of a particle in such a field along an equilibrium orbit is stable.
