Reaction of the rhodium hydridotrichlorostannyl complex (Bu/sub 4/N)/sub 3/(HRh(SnC1/sub 3/)/sub 5/) with tributylphosphine

In order to study the structures and reactivity of hydrido complexes of rhodium containing phosphine and halostannyl ligands simultaneously, the authors examine the reaction of (Bu/sub 4/N)/sub 3/(HRh(SnC1/sub 3/)/sub 5/)with tributylphosphine by P 31, H 1, and Sn 119 NMR. The reaction of tributylphosphine with the rhodium hydride was examined in CH/sub 2/C1/sub 2/, acetonitrile, and THF, which differ both in their polarities and in their solvating ability.
