Appendix A, ''Requalification Programs for Licensed Operators of Production and Utilization Facilities,'' to 10 CFR Part 55, ''Operators' Licenses,'' permits use of simulators for operator training. This guide describes a method acceptable to the NRC staff for specifying the functional requirements of a nuclear power plant simulator to be used for operator training. It endorses with certain exceptions ANSI/ANS-3.5-1981.
