Dynamic subcriticality measurements using the {sup 252}CF-source-driven noise analysis method

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/714471· OSTI ID:714471
Dynamic measurements of the subcritical neutron multiplication factor, k{sub eff}, using the {sup 252}Cf-source-driven neutron noise analysis method, were performed for an unreflected 25.1-cm-ID cylindrical tank containing aqueous uranyl nitrate as the solution height was changed at rates of 1 cm/min to 23 cm/min, with corresponding rates of change of the neutron multiplication factor of 4 {times} 10{sup (minus}4}/s to 0.01/s. 14 refs., 15 figs., 14 tabs.
