Trans-Alaskan gas pipeline offers security, economic benefits

Journal Article · · Pipeline Gas J.; (United States)
OSTI ID:7143944
ElPaso's trans-Alaska gas project is an 800-mile, 48-in gas pipeline from the North Slope southward-paralleling the trans-Alaska crude oil pipeline most of the way-to a site near Cordova where a huge liquefaction facility would be constructed. LNG from the plant would be delivered to the U.S. West Coast. Advantages of this system over the Arctic Gas Pipeline are given. (LK)
