Void-. gamma. ' precipitate interactions in experimental nickel-base superalloys

Conference ·
OSTI ID:7140084
The process of radioinduced void swelling in Ni-base superalloys was investigated. Irradiation specimens having the following compositions were used: Ni--14Cr--1Al--3.5Ti, Ni--14Cr--1Al--3.5Ti--8Mo, Ni--14Cr--4.5Al, Ni--14Cr--4.5Al--2Mo, and Ni--14Cr--4.5Al--8Mo. These alloys represent the full available range of ..gamma..'/..gamma.. precipitate mismatch used to control alloy coherency strengthening. Results are presented using slides. It is noted that experimental work is in progress to establish the mechanism of void control in these alloys. (JRD)
