The interaction of dislocations with strengthening {gamma}{prime} and/or{gamma}{double_prime} precipitates is known to control the cyclic stress response of Ni-base superalloys. More information on the micromechanism of deformation is needed to fully understand the cyclic stress behavior of this type of alloys. In this study, the cyclic stress response of directionally solidified (DS) Mar-M247LC superalloy is investigated as a function of test temperature and {gamma}{prime} particle size. The role of dislocation behavior in the cyclic hardening and softening of this alloy is also discussed.
