A continuation of an investigation on the synthesis and detailed study of spectroscopic and lasing properties of ferroelectrics activated with rare earth ions TR/sup 3 +/ are reported. The BSN (stoichiometric composition Ba/sub 2/NaNb/sub 5/O/sub 15/) doped with 0.1 at. percent Nd/sup 3 +/ ions in the charge were grown. To investigate the stimulated emission, elements free of microtwins were used. (MHR)
